Writing a Will could be one of the most cost-effective and stress-relieving things you could ever do for your loved ones. When someone passes away without a Will, one or more of your surviving family members must be appointed the Estate Trustee without a Will. This is a long and expensive process. The Trustee usually needs to post bond worth double the worth of your estate (so if you leave behind $1 million, your Trustee must post a $2 million bond). The Trustee must also notify every surviving family member and get their written consent, a process that can take months. If there are any challenges, the legal costs will be many times higher than if a Will had been written in the first place.

It is for all these reasons and more that we recommend every former client draft a Will if they haven’t already, and we offer some of the most comprehensive wills for the cheapest prices. Please call our office today if you would like to learn more.
